Brighton Lookbook 2017 (Primark Haul)

So I asked you on Twitter, Isabelleamy7 add me up if you haven’t already, which you wanted to see first and you said this, so expect a Photo Diary next week. But, for this week I wanted to show you some of the outfits I wore whilst I was down in Brighton during the half term. Most of this stuff is new and from Primark, so I guess you could also call this my long awaited Primark Haul and if I was to do a separate post it would pretty much feature the same stuff. Also please note that as the week went on I got more and more sunburnt and the chlorine from the pool irritated my face, which explains the redness later on, so just excuse that.

Polaroid Guide

It’s now been over a year since I’ve got my polaroid and only recently I realised that I don’t use it as much as I should. So recently I’ve been trying to use it more often and get much more accustomed to the way it works. I have the Fujifilm Instax mini 8 in pink, which first of all looks so cute and aesthetic as a prop in the background of pictures or just on a shelf in your room (haha!) because the pink is a matte pastel !! This camera is just a simple point and shoot which takes pictures and then develops them for you instantly.  I’m in no way an expert and I’m still learning myself, but I just thought I’d share with you some tip and tricks I’ve learnt about this camera.

To keep your camera safe and reduce your chances of breaking it I suggest investing in a camera case. Mine came in a little gift set with some other things, but you can buy them separately. The camera case I have came with straps so you can wear it as a shoulder bag when you go out, which is super handy. The set also came with a photo album which is where I store all my old pictures and fails; and a selfie lens which I haven’t actually used yet personally as I don’t really take selfies, but I’ve been in pictures where other people have and no ones been cropped out !! One thing I would say about it is the distorted mirror which can be abit of putting. Whilst searching the name of this item, I also read that it can be used for close-ups to help the camera focus. Now I really want to try this product out properly !!DSC_1892DSC_1886

Don’t worry too much about the price of the film. NGL, but the price of the film for this camera is hella expensive. This is actually something that I actually still struggle with and need to get in my head. Obviously don’t go taking loads of random pictures just because you can; But if you want to take a picture just take it !! Take pictures because you enjoy it and want to save and keep a memory through the use a picture and it’s sentimental and will look cute on your wall. Just don’t worry too much about the cost!

Out of all of the things I’ve told you so far this is the most important !! If you only take one thing from this post, it must be this !! I can’t tell you how important it is to set the light settings. If you don’t your pictures will either be too dark and you can’t see anything or too bright and everybody looks like ghosts. The camera recommends the setting for you and all you have to do is turn the little wheel to the one that’s lighting up. Just don’t forget that like I have a few times. DSC_1893

Don’t be too disappointed if a picture doesn’t turn out how you wanted it because it’s film there are much more chances of there being a mistake. One of the first pictures I took I waited a few seconds for it to develop and then threw it in my bag. Later when I got it out one half of the picture had a massive purple and yellow splodge. Looking back on it I actually think it looks quite creative and art, which is something you wouldn’t get with a normal camera. Not all pictures are going to be as saturated as you wish, so don’t give up on it.

Winter Adventures

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a photography post with you guys, as it’s something I love doing I want to share my pictures with you. Anyway, a few weeks a go I went on a walk round a lake with my family and of course took my camera. The morning we went it was cold and icy, even the lake had frozen over! I hope you enjoy this extra post and let me know in the comments if you guys enjoy this kind of post, as I’d love to know what you think.dsc_0714dsc_0718dsc_0725dsc_0726dsc_0738dsc_0740dsc_0749dsc_0752dsc_0756dsc_0764

My Safari Trip – Longleat Lookbook

For my Mum’s birthday my family took a day trip to Longleat and left late to watch the 50th anniversary fireworks, and I loved it. First, we went round the safari bit, where you drive through the animals enclosures in the car. This is where you saw most of the larger more exciting animals;this turned out to be my favourite bit and where I took most of my photos. However, the best bit for me was driving through the cheeky monkeys, who like to crawl around on your car and steal pieces. My dad didn’t want us to do this bit, due to his new car, but we did anyways and luckily nothing got stolen or broken. Then, drove through the lion, tigers and cheetahs which was actually really scary as some got really close to our car.
Later on, we got the boat past gorilla island, which was home to their 50 year old gorilla, who in his old age looked quite sad. In water around us were lots of sea lions; who you could feed, which attracted a lot of seagull’s attention, so I stayed inside the boat! Around the park there were more animals like red pandas and ant eaters, which was very interesting. Sorry for so many pictures but I just couldn’t decided so I put a few more than usual in.

Autumn Tag 2016

I’ve seen loads of bloggers doing this, and thought it look fun. It’s the perfect chance to tell you more about my favourite season: Autumn. I tag anyone who wants to do it,  I wasn’t tagged directly to do this post.

Favourite Thing?

There’s so much to love: the clothing, the colours, the temperature; but for me I think it’s the photo opportunities. During this time of year I feel really inspired to take photos and blog about what’s going on, so expect a lot more from me. It doesn’t help knowing Christmas is just around the corner, eeek!!!

Desired hot drink

The clique thing to say here is a PSL, Pumpkin spiced latte, but I’m going to tell the truth is that I’ve never tried one. Instead, I much prefer a hot chocolate any day.  They’re just so good, topped with whipped cream and marshmallows, mmmm!

Seasonal scent/candle

My favourite scent by far, is mixed spice and cinnamon, which to me screams autumn. With that in mind, I love the cinnamon stick Yankee Candle and Christmas memories Yankee Candle, they’re just warm and comforting smells.

Favourite Lipstick

Does it count that I have 2 completely different shades: a deeper plump colour and a brighter scarlet colour. The first ones, Rimmel’s Kate Moss Lasting Finish, this is such a gorgeous shade that doesn’t wash you out. I’ve found myself wearing it loads. My other choice is Seventeen’s Mega Matte Lipsticks, in the shade Lava A lot, it so different to the shades I’d normally wear. Find links to my reviews on those products, here and here.

Eye look and colour

At this time of year I love a burgundy matte lid with a shimmery crease. Using my favourite pallete of all time, Seventeen’s Easy On The Eye, I take the colour 9 Bronzed Buff all over my lid. Then blend 8 Baked Chestnut into the outer V and put some shimmer, 1 Gentle Pink, into the crease.

Go to outfit

My most recent purchase was a bomber jacket. As you might of guessed, I love wearing it over a black pinafore and Superstars. It’s so comfy and is really versatile.

Autumn Activity
As I mentioned before, going for walks out and taking my camera, it’s just one of my favourite things to do. As I mentioned before Autumn is in my opinion the most photogenic season. Even though, I’ve been finding it hard to make time for this recently.

Outfit Inspo

This is a new type of post for me as I haven’t done anything like this before, so let me know what you think. Anyway, both piece of this outfit come from new look. This pinafore is really one of my favourite outfits;  depending on the top I wear underneath, I can wear it for casual or smart.
I’m going to start more frequently posting on here so make sure to check it out.

Summer walks Lookbook

Sorry I didn’t post last week, I was some where really exciting for a week, I’m going to leave it as a surprise for next weeks blog. But I’ll leave a clue down below for you.

One of my favourite things to do is a go in a walk in the occasional summer sun and be surrounded by fields of open space and greenery. I just find walks in the woods really relaxing and calming. During the weekends on a Sunday, especially at this time of year, my family likes to go on walks. This pictures are from three different places that I’ve taken over time. If you’re British you learn to make the most of these days in the summer.
